Hey my friends i'm from HongKong.
I downloaded brink from http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vYUTHGEXvRg&lr=1

And than install correctly and put the crack into Brink.

The game launch normally and the Character Customization run smoothly

so the problem here!I click in the mission,and the video playing lag.

After that,I'm into the game,start to play but it's very very lag.

As i see, every 5 seconds 1fps....I really can'y play the game normally....

My PC specs:
amd phenom ii x4 965 @3.4
HIS HD6790 1G DDR5
DDR3 4GB RAM

I can run GTA4,NBA 2K12,PES2012,SIMS3,CRYSIS2 smoothly so i can play brink right?

Hi Nathaniel97! Welcome to Gigabyte Zone, pleasure to have you here!

Make sure that you have the latest ATI Catalyst Software Suite installed on your PC.

Assuming you have Windows 7 64bit, here is a download link: http://www2.ati.com/drivers/12-6_vista_win7_64_dd_ccc.exe

Then please proceed to download and install the following update:

http://thepiratebay.se/torrent/6550934/Brink.Update.9-SKIDROW

If it doesn't work and your problem still persists, please let me know.

Nice!I solved the LAGLAGGGG of brink but one more issue here...
I got a graphic problem like that: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gn3A6W_dAF8
and i just install a 32bit windows7..... because i would like to try can i run brink without lag...but still not.. Finally i got the update and i fix the LAGGGGGG... but that made graphic problem...: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gn3A6W_dAF8

Anyway.. thankyou for your help and sorry about my hongkong english sad

I've had the same problem too but on other games its because of the graphics card(it happens on some models)

PS: the bug normally is triggered when you minimize the game in gameplay.

Nathaniel97, right ok. Well as kirilvel said, he is getting the same issues due the graphics component of his system.

But I'm 100% certain that your HD6970 can run a game like Brink. It should be flawless.

Please download and install the latest DirectX and C++ components:

DirectX: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35
Visual C++ 2010: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5555

thanks for your help again..
um..My display is HD6790..not HD6970..but i think i can run it too..
I just fixed the LAG problem... but how about the graphic problem??
Can't i slove it?

Guys the problem is the incompatibility of the game engine whit the video card it happens whit a lot of games especially whit the new "NFS" game.

You have one of 3 options:
1:Change the video card.
2:Change the game(dont play Brink).
3:Lower the graphics of the game and hope it works.

PS:OH make sure your not using programs like GameBooster and etc because they turn off some of the graphics systems to give the PC more performance but it masses whit the game.

Do you have the same problem on other games whit the same system requirements, if you do I suggest you re-install your OS but before you do that run a memtest.I've had the same problem long ago and I found out the problem was in my memory card it had 8 errors.

Brink is first online game that im getting from here but all my other games r at 30+frames and i know sound stupid but where do i check my memory card?
